How will you help Start Something for a child right now?

It’s not just a donation. It’s an investment in a child’s future.

When you donate online to Big Brothers Big Sisters, you join our cause and directly support children in your community. No matter how little or big the amount, donating can start making a difference in the lives of young people around you.

Donating pays dividends.

Research shows that our mentoring works. Children with a Big Brother or Big Sister show real differences in their personal and academic lives. They are more confident in their schoolwork performance, they get along better with their families and they’re 52% less likely to skip school.1

Your support goes far.

Your financial support helps us provide our programs and services nationally and in your local community—so we can develop more college grads, community leaders and entrepreneurs.

Roughly 90% of every dollar you give goes directly to making and supporting matches between Littles and Bigs. Great Nonprofits, a leading provider of reviews and ratings of nonprofit organizations throughout the U.S, has ranked Big Brothers Big Sisters of America as a top Children’s and Families Nonprofit and awarded us a 5-star rating. This means you can rest assured that we are using donations wisely.

Your financial support starts lots of things, like: • recruiting new Big Brother and Big Sister volunteers • covering the costs of background checks, while ensuring trained professionals match Littles to responsible Bigs • enabling ongoing supervision and relationship support for every Big, Little and Little’s family • providing cultural and social activities to enrich the opportunities for children

 Ready, set, bowl!

The Annual Bowl For Kids’ Sake fundraiser that benefits Clearfield County Big Brothers Big Sisters starts in March.

What is Bowl For Kids’ Sake?

Bowl For Kids’ Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters’ signature fundraiser. Each year half a million people across America come together to have fun and raise money to support Big Brothers Big Sisters as we change how children grow up! Bowl For Kids’ Sake is the perfect way for individuals to make an impact on our community- it only takes a little bit of effort to raise the money that is vital to our program’s success.

As a “thank you” for your support and enthusiasm, Big Brothers Big Sisters host a celebratory party at your local bowling center. No bowling expertise is required, only the willingness to share in our heartfelt and sincere thanks for helping us transform our community.

 Where does the money go?

One hundred percent of your donation goes directly to help serve local children. Big Brothers Big Sisters depends on donations to conduct background checks on volunteers to ensure child safety; and provide ongoing support for children, families and volunteers to build and sustain long-lasting relationships.

Your role in this effort to help local children can not be over stated: We need your help to raise community awareness of the challenges faced by local children and to ask for the financial support need to help change the trajectory of a child’s life.

It’s easy, fun & helps local youth! Form a team and raise your pledges. Then, turn your donations in at the Lanes and bowl a game on us in a party-like atmosphere with a live DJ hosting the afternoon!

T-shirts, Prize Patrol, and good eats are part of the package!
