School-Based Mentoring helps put the sparkle back in the eye of youth, throughout the school year. The mentors are high school volunteers who are matched with elementary students. Matches work on homework, have a snack, learn a social skill lesson (such as bullying, respect, etc.) and have free time to play at the end of each meeting. Currently, the program is offered at Wasson Elementary in the DuBois Area School District. It runs from the time of dismissal until 5 p.m.
